Parent's testimonials

I worked with Iman when my oldest child was 2. We were really at a loss with his behavior. It felt like everything from getting him dressed in the morning to bedtime was an upward battle. The first time I met Iman, she immediately made me feel at ease. She has a very calm and inviting personality that makes you feel like you are in safe hands. Iman gave me a variety of different tools and activities to work on with my toddler. To say we got a new lease on life would be an understatement. Thanks to Iman and her patience and willingness to work around our family’s needs, we are able to enjoy our time together instead of constantly disciplining and fighting. I can’t thank Iman enough and I would recommend her services to any parent!

Iman was my son's preschool teacher at Orchard House for a full year. She is an attentive teacher who never hesitated to address or spot an issue in the most loving and gentle of ways. Iman was my son's favorite teacher in preschool and his attachment style and regulation reflected it and still does to this day! Along with an undying passion for teaching, Iman demonstrated patience. Her class had students with different developmental skills and yet she made it seem effortless with kindness, personal attention and care. Iman has a burning desire to make a real difference in the lives of young children. Above all, what stands out for me is the fact that she continues to work on her craft and passion as well as her own personal development to become the best Child Behavior Specialist and Parent Coach there is!

Iman was my son’s preschool teacher for two years and we all absolutely loved her. She was instrumental in helping our family deal with my son’s separation anxiety, as well as the aftermath of a traumatic experience. She always collaboratively problem-solved with us, and was incredibly supportive and understanding of me as a parent. She understands children at a profound level and respects them deeply. She is also so naturally warm and loving, that children and parents alike seem to immediately feel at ease with her. I would highly recommend having Iman as an ally to your family.

I have had the pleasure to know this woman for almost 14 years and I know for a fact that children have always had an important part in her life. She has this capacity to get their attention and confidence very easily even if she doesn’t see my two boys very often and that says a lot since they are normally shy and reserved. I have total confidence in her professional assessment and techniques. If you want a passionate nonjudgmentally and dynamic professional, she is your person.

Our family was fortunate to have Iman as a preschool teacher for both of our children. She is kind and compassionate. Iman helped my 3 year old son and myself through our separation anxiety. She is understanding and gentle. She allowed my son the time and space he needed to adjust to the new school routine on his terms. She didn’t rush or force him. She slowly gained his trust. My son, at 3 years old, told me “Iman cares for people, she’s the best!”.

It was happening so regularly that I was really disheartened, especially because everything we tried to make it stop did not seem to work. It was so immensely helpful to talk to Iman and even before going back home, I already felt better - just because she had changed my perspective on the issues we were having. She took a lot of time talking to me to understand the things that were happening at the time, and then gave very detailed and actionable advice on how we could proceed. Within a few days it was already going remarkably better at home, and soon thereafter my kid had stopped hitting altogether. Ten months later a lot of things have changed, a new sibling has arrived - but hitting has not become an issue again. So... Thank you Iman for your knowledgeable and very kind and empathetic input, it made a huge difference for our family!
