Iman El-Jed is a Montreal-based Child Behaviour Specialist.

She completed the Child Behavior Certification Program with The Early Years Family Development Center and trained as a Family Counselor with École d’accompagnement familial Nancy Doyon. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Psychology, as well as a Certificate in Early Childhood Education from University of Montreal.

Iman worked as a French teacher and as an after school care coordinator at the Montessori-based preschool Orchard House for several years. She also worked with children with special needs and their families in a non-profit community centre, Carrefour des Petits Soleils.

As long as she can remember, Iman always felt inspired by the company of children. Their spontaneity and their endless curiosity to learn fills her with happiness. To accompany children in their learning is an infinite source of joy for her, and she finds solace in teaching. Her professional journey has exposed her to a diversity of approaches. She developed a commitment towards nonviolent communication and positive education, which translates, into her love of working directly with children as well as with their parents, teachers and communities.

Beloved Childhood was founded by Iman El-Jed so that she can continue to accompany parents, teachers and children in their efforts towards harmony and well-being.
